Films and television of “Film Noir” would not have achieved classic status without the stunning soundtrack compositions of talented jazz composers and artists. This multi-media concert will revisit the works of jazz greats including Miles Davis, Elmer Bernstein, Henry Mancini, Alex North, Krzysztof Komeda, and Victor Young, all of whom created the dark and beautiful moods of film noir.
With projected images from these timeless films providing a striking backdrop, a stellar ensemble of players will interpret classic scores from works such as Ascenseur pour L’Échafaud (Elevator to the Gallows), A Streetcar Named Desire, Laura, Touch of Evil, The Uninvited, and The Third Man...
