Celebrate The Centennial of Harry James with James Suggs and the Nate Najar Trio play "The Music of Harry James. Trumpeter James Suggs and the Nate Najar Trio team to perform the Music of Harry James in marking the centennial of James’s birth. Trumpeter Suggs was the trumpet soloist in the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra under the direction of Larry O’Brien and with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra He also played in Argentina for eight years, has toured the world and has performed with musical legends including Kenny Burrell, Maria Schneider and Sean Jones.
Nate Najar, jazz guitarist-composer-producer and international recording and touring artist. He has performed with such notable jazz artists as Clark Terry, Ken Peplowski, Ray Kennedy, Harry Allen, Gene Bertoncini and many others. Legendary bassist John Lamb performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and the Ellington Trio for many years. Drummer Mark Feinman is a music professor at St Petersburg College. He has performed with Dick Hyman, Shelly Berg, Buster Cooper, Nate Najar, Stacy Kent, Freda Payne, Jim Tomlinson, Antonio Adolfo, Arturo O’Farrill and others. He has also performed in Italy and France at the Umbria and Jazz a Juan Festivals.
